Sparrow Lake is a guaranteed bites lake with Common Carp, Mirror Carp, Skimmers, Roach, Rudd, Tench and Perch although there is a lot of fish averaging 6oz to 1lb there is plenty of larger Carp averaging 4-6lb . There is thousands of fish in this lake with every bait working. There is 15 permanent pegs on this lake with loads of features especially in the margins with Water Iris, Lilly’s, Reeds, Water inlets and outlet pipes. Depths in this Lake suprise a lot of people with 18inches tight to the grass in the margins to a quick shelve about 1ft from the bank that drops off to 5ft with the middle of the lake 25ft deep. Although most fish are caught close in at a maximum of 11 metres out. This is a very popular Lake with everyone from beginners to experienced anglers and is a fantastic Winter venue with its huge head of Silver fish as well as the Carp.
